Due to the final stages of our house move, the last few weeks have been rather turbulent. I am SO glad to have been able to take some time off (which has proved practical during this period of inevitable disruption) and very happy indeed to be done, at last, with moving – a process which in one respect or another has occupied so much of this year. Farewell to Carbeth and onward, now, to calmer waters!

Swathes of heavy cloud and light over Antrim – at this time of year the light is so clear that you can pick out individual houses and field boundaries from our Kintyre coast! I find this incredible.

Beautiful and impressive!
Fabulous photos!
That 4th to the last photo of the water looks like the random pooling of varigated yarn!
Thanks for sharing these beautiful photographs for a vicarious visit to the sea!
Spectacular. I love to look at stormy weather on the sea.
Enjoy the new digs! 囍囍
Thank you for sharing your beautiful views!
Amazing photography. I felt the dramatic exhilaration and then the gentleness of the calm. What a wonderful place / environment you have on your doorstep.
😊
Fabulous photos!
Is this the final move into the mill? I absolutely love all your pictures and relay them to my friend in Pennsylvania. He adores them.
YES. Good to be home at last!
Thank you, Kate. This was just the moment of stillness I needed.

haha, the dogs look like sea monsters!! I love the sea when it is at it’s wildest. Beautiful pictures. That was quite a move….didn’t realize it was so ongoing.
Be well
Those pictures are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!! Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing them with us. Spectacular!
Fabulous entry! (At first, I thought the dogs frolicking, were seals in the water!). Shades of the film The Outrun, recommended movie, the science is fantastic!
Amazing photos!
Beautiful, and powerful. Loved the (4th last) sunset reflection.
Moving is stressful, however well it is organised. And rest and peace is absolutely neccessary once it’s all over.
Stunning photos. Thanks for sharing.
All the photos are stunning, but I can’t stop looking at the one after “dogs enjoying the water.” It’s mesmerizing. I sense there is a knitting pattern swirling in there somewhere!
I did wonder how on earth you managed to organise the Margery Allingham club, and move house at the same time. I am in awe. Enjoy your time off and your wonderful new location
I have asked myself the same thing, Mary!
Fabulous seascapes – thanks for the treat.
I love the wild, crashing waves, and the sublime and moody skies! Life is feeling a little stormy — but there are always the moments of calm too. Thank you for this!
So glad your move is more or less complete, now take your time getting settled and enjoy your new house. It’s lovely to see the Scottish scenery (and the dogs enjoying the water typical labs 😍) it’s so similar to ours here on the north coast of Ireland. Happy Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year xx

Wonderful photos, thank you.
I’m happy for you to have reached calmer waters.
Thank you for the photos! The dogs’ heads reminded me of seals :)
What absolutely fabulous photos! Thank you so much for sharing! Brave doggies, my mini schnauzer would not be impressed by those waves 😂

Thank you for these realities.
Such beauty at your doorstep 🙏
Awesome photography!
